About the event

In this session, we are focused on assisting leaders transition into new roles and/or responsibilities.
Our guest speaker, Birgitta Ravenhill, will introduce the Transition Zone, a practical map that outlines the phases leaders move through during major transitions: from arrival and disorientation, through experimentation, integration, and into grounded leadership.
Senior leaders are often well prepared for their next role but rarely prepared for the transition itself.
Rather than focusing on failure, the session explores what leaders are rarely oriented to and how the absence of a clear map can lead to misinterpretation, premature certainty, or stalled leadership.
Participants will learn how three core practices FLOW (observing before acting), FORM (experimenting into the role), and SPACE (reflecting, learning, and adapting) help leaders navigate transitions with clarity and steadiness.
This session is particularly relevant for organisations managing executive transitions, succession, and leadership development at senior levels.
Martha will provide her practical insights and process to apply Birgitta's methodolgy to the workplace.
